Restylane Lyft: The Firmer Filler Built for Structural Support

The gel science behind its firmness, and what the FDA trial data actually showed.

    816-442-5520

Restylane Lyft is one of two cheek filler options offered at Arkatiea Aesthetics & Wellness, alongside Juvéderm Voluma XC. Where Voluma XC is built for a soft, gradual lift, Lyft was engineered around the opposite goal: real structural support for cheeks and midface that have lost significant volume.

What Makes It Different: NASHA Technology and High G-Prime

G-Prime: A Measure of Gel Firmness

Restylane Lyft is formulated with a deliberately high G-prime — a measured property that translates to real structural support

    Softer Gel

    Lower G-Prime

Gradual, soft integration for a subtle, natural lift

    Restylane Lyft

    High G-Prime

Built for structure and lift — genuine structural support

A measured property that translates to real structural support

Restylane Lyft is built with Galderma's NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid) technology, using minimal modification to closely resemble the skin's own natural hyaluronic acid. According to Galderma, this formulation gives Restylane Lyft a high G-prime — a measure of gel firmness — specifically designed to provide structure and support rather than a soft, gradually-integrating volume.

    FDA Approval and Clinical Data

Restylane Lyft was previously marketed as Perlane-L before earning a dedicated FDA approval for the cheeks. According to the official 2015 FDA approval announcement, Restylane Lyft became the first and only filler approved for both cheek/midface fullness and correction of nasolabial folds ("smile lines") in the same product. That approval was backed by real trial data: the same announcement reported that 88.7% of 200 trial patients showed improvement in midface fullness at 2 months, with more than half maintaining that improvement through 12 months.

A Track Record That's Still Growing

Restylane Lyft's approval history hasn't stopped at the cheeks. As recently as late 2025, Galderma received additional FDA approval for Restylane Lyft specifically for chin enhancement, based on a separate pivotal trial showing sustained improvement in chin projection through 12 months in the majority of patients — a sign that this firmer formulation continues to prove itself across new structural applications, not just the original cheek indication.

    What to Expect

Restylane Lyft vs. Juvéderm Voluma XC

Two cheek fillers — two different approaches

    Restylane Lyft

    Firm Structure — 12 to 15 Months

High G-prime gel built for defined, sculpted support with significant volume loss

    Juvéderm Voluma XC

Soft Lift — Up to 2 Years

Smooth, cohesive gel that integrates gradually for the longest available duration

The right choice comes down to how much structural correction you actually need

Restylane Lyft is injected deeper into the tissue — from subcutaneous to supraperiosteal — which is part of what allows it to function as genuine structural support rather than surface volume. The most common temporary side effects reported in clinical trials were tenderness, redness, bruising, swelling, and itching, which decreased in severity over time and mostly resolved within two weeks.

Who Lyft Is a Good Fit For

Who Restylane Lyft Tends to Suit Best

Has more significant volume loss in the cheeks or midface

Wants a defined, sculpted result rather than a subtle lift

Values firm structural support over gradual, soft integration

Comfortable with a 12 to 15 month duration vs. up to 2 years

A consultation matches the right product to your structural goals

Restylane Lyft tends to be the right choice for clients with more significant volume loss who want a defined, sculpted result rather than a subtle, gradual lift. Clients looking for the softest possible natural integration and the longest duration available sometimes prefer Juvéderm Voluma XC instead, which can last up to two years compared to Lyft's typical 12 to 15 months — the right choice comes down to how much structural correction you actually need.
